We’ve heard the voice of many leaders in South Jersey requesting we do a networking and BattleCry informational meeting down there.  If you’re from South Jersey, please post a comment if you’d come to connect.

Hey everyone, some people have been asking when I’m going to be in the area again, and I will actually next weekend, January 17. I’m only in town (Queens) for a day though, at RELOAD! Make sure you make it to the event and say hello. I know it’s going to be powerful training for youth leaders, don’t miss out.

Also, I’ll be coming out for a longer trip at the end of February. We are having a youth pastor’s meeting in Long Island from 10am-12pm with over 40 churches represented. But if you’re from Long Island (or even if you’re not) make sure to contact me, I want to make sure you’re there. MORE DETAILS TO COME THIS WEEK.

At the 2008 Greater NYC BattleCry we had over 12,500 seats taken!  We’re expanding seating this year so thousands more students and leaders may be a part of the BattleCry for a Generation!

We are taking on a “270″ seating structure, meaning we are opening most sections for purchase but not those directly behind the stage.

 Seating Details:

Seats are assigned by section,  when purchasing seats you are not assigned a row or seat number.  Seating at the event is fulfilled on a first come first serve basis in your assigned section.

The seats you sit in on Friday evening are yours for the entire evening.  The seats you sit in on Saturday morning are yours for all of Saturday.

Please seat your group closely together with no seats open between individuals.  This allows for all groups and individuals to get seats within their purchased section.

The Floor is SOLD OUT (since February 2008), but there are still THOUSANDS of seats remaining.  Register quickly or call 800.329.3473 and ask for the New York team to find out more about the BUY Now Pay Later program (for groups of 20 or more).   This way you can lock in the best seats remaining!

Note:  Sections 113-117 and 218-228 are closed b/c if you sat there you’d be almost directly behind the stage!

Floor Riser Section G does not appear on this seating map, but is located behind sections D,E,F.  Floor seats are sold out.

Just two weeks ago we celebrated 7,000+ people currently registered for this April’s event!  We are expanding seating for BattleCry 2009, but please make sure to register very soon in order to get the best seats available.  Don’t just wait until the next deadline, register now!

Here’s an interesting article, worth a quick read.

The NY Times interviewed some church leaders from Manhattan, Brooklyn and residents of Jersey to compile their info on how some (how many?) people are going to the internet, podcasts, etc to find the church that fits.  This doesn’t add anything super-relevant or insightful, but interesting enough.

The ministry of Teen Mania is truly carried by the interns that serve at our one-year Honor Academy internship.  These are devoted young people that are here to get shaped by God through leadership training, intense spiritual discipleship, and practical hands-on experience.  Here in the ATF Contact Center, where I manage training as well as serve as the Director of the Greater NYC BattleCry, we have 10 interns that work tirelessly to partner with the church in the Tri-State region to see a massive movement of God amongst young people and families.

Here they are:

Front:  Tyesha (NJ) [in Mass Youth Choir, Feb 08 BattleCry]

Middle Row, L-R:  Tida (Bronx), Mirian (Brazil), Diana [Training Supervisor] (Michigan), Becky (Upstate NY), Jonathan (NJ)

Back Row, L-R:  Kwain (Brooklyn), Zack [Assistant Director, NYC BC] (Illinois), Daniel (Long Island), Michael (Long Island)
